Our CEO Abdul Samed Zurak Set To Attend The One Young World Summit Under The Johnson & Johnson Scholarship Program
Since 2013, One Young World (OYW), a not-for-profit organization that gathers together the brightest young leaders from around the world, to develop young leaders and strengthen their leadership capacity.
To date, 45 young Johnson & Johnson employees (aged 18-30) from across the globe have participated in the annual OYW Summit, providing them with the unique opportunity to learn from inspirational world leaders and to debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing health issues.
This year, 35 global young leaders from Johnson & Johnson will attend the 2017 Summit in Bogotá, Colombia in October.
The Scholarships are open to those aged 18-30 years who are working for, or involved with underserved communities in the health/care giving arena across the spectrum of care (from family care givers to health care professionals) such as NGOs, social enterprises, community based organisations and individual leaders.
In total, 2,249 applications from more than 160 countries were received for the Johnson & Johnson One Young World Scholarships when applications closed on 19 June. The eight scholar recipients for 2017 have now been selected by One Young World. (Note: Johnson & Johnson was not involved in the selection process).
