Zurak Cancer Foundation Set To Invade Agbobloshie Market

This year, we developed a strategy to take our market invasion to the Agbobloshie Market; the largest market in Accra, Ghana. The market is a cosmopolitan environment where dwellings are wooden shacks that lack water and sanitation. The area is also home to armed robbers, prostitutes, drug dealers and others involved in underground markets. Crime and disease run rampant throughout Agbogbloshie, creating an almost uninhabitable environment for humans. Outsiders have nicknamed the area “Sodom and Gomorrah,” after two condemned Biblical cities, due to the harsh living conditions in Agbogbloshie. We are looking forward to to implement our strategies at the market to provide solutions to cancer prevalence in the community.

Zurak Cancer Foundation Kumasi Meet Up

The Zurak Cancer Foundation team in Kumasi met to discuss upcoming projects and orientation of new members to the projects of the organization. The meeting was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with majority of our students from the university. The team developed strategies to provide interventions for cancer prevalence in the region and.

Ninche Shot It, a media company providing services in photography and media coverage aimed at highlighting the positives in deprived societies and inspiring others to attain greatness through using available media to tell stories came to terms with Zurak Cancer Foundation to sign a distribution, promotion and exclusive media rights to provide the platform for “Ninche Shot It” to document the projects of Zurak Cancer Foundation for the year 2018. This partnership is expected to upgrade the brands of both parties through media. As part of Zurak Cancer Foundation transition process, the organization deem it necessary to propagate its endeavors through credible media platforms. We are so excited about this partnership and we looking forward to create change through the use of media.

We would like to express our gratitude to each and every one who made it for our interview session yesterday. We are overwhelmed by the turnout and professionalism exhibited by the candidates. We have had the opportunity to listen to exceptional individuals who are motivated to create change in their society. Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Impact

We are so glad for an exciting and wonderful month of great impact for our Breast Cancer Awareness Program. We are highly impressed with the progressions and our drive for high impact solutions to cancer prevalence in Ghana. We would like to express our profound gratitude to  SO Social Multimedia ,  Sweden Ghana Medical Centre-SGMC , Ghana Technology University College ,  Ghana Institute of Journalism  a nd Clottie Muronda for the great support for our Breast Cancer Awareness Programs. We made our impact generations based on our social media reach for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp and impact generated from the Breast Cancer Awareness Program in collaboration with So Social Multimedia. Unfortunately, we couldn’t push forward our sub initiative and signature event (Market Invasion) for Breast Cancer due to delays from our partners but all the same we are excited about the impact we keep making into the lives of Ghanaians. One Year Volunteer Program

Next year, we would be providing the opportunity to twenty (20) young people to participate in our endeavors. As part of our transition, we have designed a comprehensive volunteer program for young people who would like to make an impact into their societies. This program is expected to provide the platform for young people to gain first hand experience in organizational management, networking and policy design for high impact initiatives to solve the problems of the society.

Breast Cancer Awareness Tertiary Tour At GTUC

Zurak Cancer Foundation in collaboration with So Social Multimedia and Ghana Technology University College extended its Breast Cancer Awareness Program at university to educate students on Breast Cancer prevention. The event featured a two (2) sessions with first session featuring an education on Breast Cancer and self breast examination. The next session featured a documentary from Anas Armeyaw Anas on Breast Cancer prevalence in Africa and a movie from our partners in Nigeria dubbed "Living Funeral" a real life story of a Breast Cancer patient as she shares her story on the difficulties she goes through everyday as a Breast Cancer patient. The event was support by Sweden Ghana Medical Center who provided us with Oncologist to take the audience through a technical aspect of the disease.
