Impact Evaluations ~ Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

The impact evaluations for the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January follows two (2) different aspects of our awareness programs. Zurak Cancer Foundation has leveraged its social media presence to create awareness on cervical cancer and the human papillomavirus (HPV). With regards to our social media platforms we considered our total reach on Facebook during the awareness program and we recor ded 35,064. For Instagram, we recorded 3,051. During the awareness campaign we made 14 posts regarding cervical cancer awareness during our evaluations for Twitter and WhatsApp, we multiplied our followers by the number of posts we made during the awareness campaign. Therefore, we recorded 1,596 for Twitter and 1,232 for WhatsApp. We estimated an impact evaluation of 1,500 during our market invasion events for Accra, Kumasi and Tamale. Finally, our total impact for the January Cervical Cancer Awareness Month stands at 42,443.

Zurak Cancer Foundation Donates To Pediatric Oncology Unit of KATH

The World Cancer Day is a day set aside by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to support the goals and objectives of the World Cancer Declaration, which was written in the year 2008. It is an international day marked on 4th of February every year to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. The day was set aside by the international community to increase awareness and education on cancer with the slogan "We can. I can". This year’s World Cancer Day event in Kumasi was a special one as two Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Zurak Cancer Foundation (ZCF) and Institute of Research and Community Planning Ghana (IRCP_GH), partnered to donate some items to the Pediatric Oncology Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region on the Sunday, February 4, 2018 at about 10:00am.
