Official Launch & Fundraising Event of Zurak Cancer Foundation

Zurak Cancer Foundation is a non-governmental organization, with the aim of battling and eradicating of cancer in Ghana.We plan to eradicate cancer through education,awareness,support for cancer patients and advocacy.Statistics have shown that in Ghana, 16,000 cancer smitten cases occurred in 2014.If God and Zurak Cancer Foundation should not intervene on Africa's behalf, 1.28 million cancer cases are likely to erupt by 2030.

The foundation empowers persons to approach challenges such as strengthening health systems and cancer care services.Also improve essential cancer medicines and medical technologies through advocacy.Moreover, our noble foundation is determined to reduce the financial toll of cancer on individuals and families that cancer has succeeded in draining their last penny.We would also advocate for Government to enable access to palliative care and integrate early detection and screening into health systems.

On the 26th of April, 2015, we launched Zurak Cancer Foundation successfully with the auditorium filled up with prominent personalities such as Sheikh Yunus (Imam of Zongo Central Mosque), Chief Zakari Kuta (Paramount Chief of Chamba in Ghana),Alhaji Baba Alhassan Zurak (Distinguish Business Mogul),Mr Nurudeen Alhassan (President of Ghana Muslim Academy), Mr Mohammed Siraj (Head of IT Support at the Wisconsin International University College) and Madam Priscilla Anima Siaw (District Directorate of Health of La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly).We proved our honour of gratitude by presenting and certificate of appreciation.

The Mzuzah Africa Convergence On Sustainability

Yesterday, our volunteers attended the convergence on sustainability at Ashesi University to participate in a dialogue to map the emerging trends of sustainable innovative solutions and the type of leadership required to deal with issues related to sustainable development. The Mzuzah Africa Convergence on Sustainability has emerged with the understanding that only Sustainable Thinking Leaders are capable of providing the most ap propriate solutions to the present problems of African societies. Mzuzah provides a platform for debate, analysis and collaboration between current and future leaders interested in discussing sustainable solutions to the regions challenges with innovative lens. Only innovation and creativity will ensure workable, stable and realistic solutions to Africa's contemporary issues. This initiative forms part of our One Year Volunteer Program to provide the platform for young people to engage in strategy and policy design for future innovations.
